The arrival of training camp this week brings many things, chief among them: Tim Tebow’s futile aspiration to find a home in the NFL.
As reported by Fox 10 Phoenix’s Gayle Jansen, Tebow spent the summer training with strength coach Ian Danney. Danney has reportedly been providing the comeback hopeful with an unorthodox regimen. One drill demands playing volleyball with a 10-pound medicine ball, a task only slightly less bizarre than Maverick spiking on Iceman while wearing Wranglers.
Tebow splits time between Phoenix and Los Angeles, where he’s also sought counsel from well-known quarterback coach Tom House. Though scheduled to begin analyst duties for ESPN’s SEC coverage next month, the former Gator has an opt-out clause should an NFL team choose to bring Tebow’s comeback hopes to fruition.
In summation: Look out for Tebow (on August 28th when South Carolina hosts Texas A&M.)
